The existing grass at the school was in a very bad condition when we arrived to begin the project.

We cleared the area but were asked to retain an existing incline toward the back fence as children liked to roll down this during break times. Simply stripping the top of turf was not enough and we used a digger to remould the incline and make it shallower and more child-friendly.

Once the base was at the correct level, we fitted the grass as usual but had to overlap and cut in the joins which fell across the incline. A different technique was used for the seaming but the desired effect was the same.
